The history of the company
P.M.P. Firenze was founded in the heart of the city in 1978 and produces silver discs and plates for silver companies in Florence and the province.
The company is the brainchild of Sergio Pacini and is currently run by his son Andrea. In the mid-1980s it moved to its new plant in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa. In view of market changes, it expands the production range to standard 500 x 1000 mm sheets, silver strips, silver-copper colaminates, to the latest products such as sintered silver/nickel wires for the electromechanical industry.
Since its inception, it has also been producing silver-based wires, rods, tubes, edgings, and soldering alloys for the most varied uses. The clientele in the beginning was exclusively local, today the target market is the whole of Europe and neighboring countries. Exports account for 30 percent of production.
